Second Life

Today we started Second Life, at first we where told to create our character and visit 3 locations, and it's amazing how much weird stuff there is on Second Life. We then made our own t-shirt for our character and also learned how to build stuff.

Below are some photos of my character and locations I visited, and warning that one of the locations may offend some:

My character

Today we did a few character development exercises which helped. Below is an exercise we did on our character in second life:

super-objective - to lay down the law on everyone

i see myself as aggressive, dark, crazy, dishonest, Rebellious, stubborn

i dress to accentuate my authority

my idea of a good night is having a result in my job

my idea of a bad night not having a result in my job

i lead with my iron fist

Interactive Storytelling

In todays class we talked briefly about scripts and how to set them out, then talked about how to create story's and the structure involved in them, like setting up a plot ect. We watched an episode of Seinfield as an example of this, then listened to the commentary of the episode which shows how simple stuff can make up a good story. overall it was a decent class, and shows that if you can't come up with a good story idea, you can use something that happens in everyday life.
